The Remodelers Show---did include a lot of mixing and matching with the certainty of getting the building permit numbers in time for the show in question.
But Butch Warrington---Building Permit Chief for the City of Sioux Falls—did get the information out and even projected for the 4th year in a row—building permits for Sioux Falls WILL hit the BILLION dollar figure.

Butch---Teddi Mueller---and Joel Ingles from the Home Builders talked to us about what they are doing with builders—remodelers---and organizations that lead us to the Fall Parade of Homes ----busy times and with Sioux Falls growing—the Home Builders are available—and we’ll help promote what they are doing. They do have a new partnership with the Boys and Girls Club working with Middle School Students. Last week they held their second activity with Boys Camp, Girls Club Empower Campus and yes even built toolboxes with school  students—and played tool bingo for prizes.
HBASE launched a Workforce Survey to ID how to help members recruit and retain workers and bolster the efforts in the workforce development arena.
Joel Ingles—President of the Home Builders and Tony Bachman—Coldwell Banker—talked about the rain and flooding and how it was affecting homes---there are more and more open houses every week—along with several price reductions at certain price points.
Tony ---talked about Rock Rapids and Rock Valley in Iowa—hit hard by flooding---and what is currently got the attention of many home owners—and what to do next.
Dave Kelly—talked financials---what it is doing to prices---and the hope that home owners can get thru this very trying period. He talked the models we might see in the next few months with the rate environment---now Kind of Status Quo---but subject to flood zones---and how the markets react. Keep praying.
Jerry Berg—Intek---and Joe Hanson—Extreme Heating and Cooling –updated some of the work they have been doing with flooding---furnaces have been a key area---Intek is even working in the basement of this Midwest Communication Building. It was a mess—but Intek has been working with us----and looking to keep us as safe—and full throttle as possible.
Joe ----talked about what people should be doing-----and he said even with the flooding—the toughest for them is the furnace troubles and heating in the winter time.
One thing you know about both Intek and Extreme Heating and Cooling—they have good people---knowledgeable people who truly care.
We put all of these experts together for one show—looking at building permits for the month and year---telling us what the people trying to sell and others trying to buy are doing---and what they can expect.
      Next week—the Report Card Show.
Listen live to our show at 1320-105.1, 107.9. Norm Anderson will post this show by noon---use these blog notes as a key to what is in the show—and where our knowledgeable guest can be found. Questions for me call-text at 605-728-2455 or email bill.zortman@mwcradio. com
This was indeed a breaking news story people want our experts on---and we were obliged to have them answer questions important to all of us. All coming just before the July 4th Holiday later this week.
