   It’s YOUR Agri Business---but we start with a little NEWS BREAKING STUFF.

 

   Butch Warrington—Building Permit Chief—City of Sioux Falls is sharing the highly anticipated building permit numbers for the first 6 months of 2022.

 

  What will they show---as you remember in 2021---Sioux Falls for the first time in it’s history hit the 1 billion dollar mark for building permits. 2022---could easily hit it before the first golf ball is hit at the Sanford International in mid-September.

 

   And here they are:

   One of those that affected by the strong winds a few weeks ago was Kent Peterson---McCook County—who lost some farm property as did a lot of his neighbors.

 

    The Federal Government did approve damage payments for 20 or so counties---we want to know what it means—and what those affected should be doing.

 

   10:20---Megan Kingsbury---shared with us and the world thru Reuters---her plan for the net generation beef and yes bison packing plant for Western South Dakota.

 

   The hope is that the $1.1 Billion state of the Art Facility bill great ground at the beginning of 2023---

 

    A key part is the promise of no odor---no feeding outdoors—8000 head a day arriving by truck and rail and go directly into the new plant.

 

    Megan has been checking all of the boxes to keep the community happy in Rapid City----and she will be sharing an update live with us this morning.

 

    Around the half hour you’ll hear from Sarah Heinrich—KFGO Fargo---the Growing Harvest Network---yes they are Midwest Communication cousins and she and her team always update us in our show.

 

    Matt Swenson –Swenson Commodities---has the morning farm numbers—the grains-the meat—the energy-and yes the BIG BOARD on WALL STREET.

 

    Darren Hefty on this Farmer’s Friday---juices are audience with farm facts and figures—and this morning even a forecast beginning to come true.

 

   Tar spots are beginning to show up in Southeast Minnesota already. Corn leaves are rolling up in the fields across the region in nature’s defense against the drought.

 

   Darren can be heard at 2PM on Sirius 147 each Friday.

 

   As promised—Joe Batchellor—Downtown Sioux Falls—lets us have a fingerprint of the 4th of July Weekend. First Friday tonight---and then the Saturday-Sunday-Monday list of events that might indeed catch your attention.
