We start with Jodi Schwan----Sioux Falls Business ----
-----------------WHAT YOU SAW in the first 3 quarters of 2026?
What you see in the final quarter of 92 days------
----------------------Jodi----------------------
---what else we should know-----
--thanks for the visit---and all you do for this community and territory—
----Jessie Schmidt---BBB of South Dakota----
Listeners with questions or concerns----how can they reach you? Jessie Schmidt---Better Business Bureau of South Dakota---
---when we come back---Teri Schmidt—Experience Sioux Falls talks about two festivals coming this weekend---you could be part of both or pick what appeals and sounds best to you---
9:18/00---KELO Commercials
9:19/30---It’s YOUR Friday Business---2
A LONG TIME old friend joins us in our Friday Shows---Teri Schmidt---yes all about EXPERIENCE Sioux Falls-----
Many things to do in Sioux Falls---but you are highlighting one that I actually attended as a trombone player from Iowa---in 1963 and 64----
Tell us about that Festival of Bands---and another festival that isn’t quite as loud---with the Festival of Books!!!!
--------------------Teri---------------------
1963 was a long time ago----but I remember how excited I was to ride our yellow West Monona Bus to Sioux Falls---and play my slide trombone on a day that was in the 40’s----
---------------------Teri--------------------
Festival of books---tell us about that-----and who sets the books---and do you have trombone players also reading the books?
---------------------Teri--------------------
Thanks for all you do to help others EXPERIENCE Sioux Falls---
----------Kip Rounds---South Dakota Game Fish and Parks---
----Pheasant Hunting----is now just 2-3 weeks away.
But I like the fact that you have a special YOUTH season which should get them started (hopefully) correctly---and they can spread the language about how you are suppose to do it-----
-------------Kip-------------------
The availability of pheasants you are seeing------
Those people not from South Dakota—how can they find out what licensing they need------and how to get it?
-------------------Kip--------------------
When we come back----Mr. Downtown Sioux Falls—Brandon Hanson has that list of events you should know about this weekend—yes the first Friday and Saturday---of fall----

9:32/30---Business Show –3-------
----Downtown Sioux Falls Events---what you need to know
Here is the list:
Friday
Friday starts with a pretty unique takeover at the Washington Pavilion. SDSU Day brings the Jackrabbits Downtown with hands-on activities, engineering demonstrations and family programming throughout the day. They’ll even be expanding outside onto Main Avenue.
Over lunch, Fridays on the Plaza continues from 11:30 to 1:30. We’re getting very close to the end of outdoor lunch season, so take advantage of these days while we have them.
Friday night, you can catch Masquerade at the Orpheum Theater, or something completely different with the Karaoke Showdown at ICON and DaDa.
Saturday is the big one.
The 39th Annual Festival of Bands Parade kicks off at 8:30 Saturday morning. Marching bands from around the region will fill Downtown with music, families and a whole lot of activity. Come early, grab breakfast or coffee, find a spot along the route and make a morning of it.
And at the same time, Downtown welcomes the 24th annual South Dakota Festival of Books. Authors and readers from across the state and beyond will gather at the Holiday Inn City Centre for South Dakota's premier literary event.
So yes, Downtown will be busy Saturday morning. That's the reason to come, not the reason to stay away. Plan ahead, give yourself a little extra time, and enjoy having two major regional events happening right in the heart of our city.
Saturday night, the South Dakota Symphony Orchestra opens its season at the Washington Pavilion with Ravishing Rhapsodies, featuring pianist Gabriela Martinez.
And Masquerade has both afternoon and evening performances at the Orpheum if theater is more your thing.
Sunday
The Daughters of the Nile Craft Fair runs from 11:00 to 4:00 at the El Riad Shrine, and Masquerade wraps up its weekend with a 2:00 performance.
But if you're making one plan this weekend, I'd make it Saturday morning Downtown. Grab breakfast, watch the Festival of Bands, explore the Festival of Books, do some shopping and stick around for lunch.
