   First up---Jose Marie Griffiths---President Dakota State---she shared quite the update—new rankings on Most Affordable Cyber Security Degrees---and the impact of tuition freeze and freedom scholarships---

  #24 on Campus

    On the PHD ---Dakota State was second only to MISSISSIPPI STATE---and they are Texas Aggie Like----

    Dollars are always important-but for the students and their parents and the state in general---tuition freeze scholarships can make a difference today, tomorrow and next generation.

    The Update on the Center for Quantum Information Science and Technology---might be a little harder for guys that graduated 40+ years ago---but we trust President Griffiths that it is a big deal---and the kids will know it first.

    And 6 million proposed by the Governor for the project----

    All important and we have the right President—Jose Marie Griffiths to make it all happen.

    Next up---Brooks Hendrickx---Ag Business Manager for the SF Chamber-is now working hard to put to an assemblance of order the Sioux Empire Livestock Show. It’s January 23-28th----and we will be following along—doing live shows on Wednesday—January 24th and Friday January 26th. Part of our discussion today---is making this show comparable to the Denver—Dallas and other shows that get kids—animals and families to attend. Sioux Falls is welcoming and we will continue to help make that happen.

    Brooks is the latest to lead with her energy---to make people enjoy their stay---tell people about what they experienced---and help us build for the future. We as media need to help and chronicle the events—something we will be doing again.

    9:32---we talked with former Ag Secretary Walt Bones—who continues to work on the coalition called Protect South Dakota’s Ag Future. He is motivated by being in agriculture—having led agriculture---and wanting to see the best for the next generation.

    Walt also talked about the his motivation on the economic impacts of not having low carbon ethanol like others do. Not all will agree with him---but he has certainly earned the right to represent those in ag----talk to the points-and see how this can all come together.

    We closed the show with Tim Rave-President and CEO of South Dakota Association of Healthcare Organization (SDAHO)

    We learned what it is –why it exists---what are some key issues facing health care in South Dakota----

     Tim gave us an update---and talked about what should be important to all of us—regardless of whether we are from a big town or small town---town or country---and what is in our best interests for the future.

    The Leader of the Band Show also shared an update from Leader Lawrence on what he sees in his year of President and the direction he thinks we should go.

     A Scott Lawrence being willing to go up-thru-the-chairs to become Chairman—and then enlist people to help in his year is truly amazing to watch. The fact that we get to do a show with him 12 times thru the year while he is Chamber Chairman—is just a bonus.
