  The Sioux Empire Fair is roaring on-----and we know that it gives us all a chance—to re-live our childhoods—when we grew up on the farms---and to see neighbors we haven’t seen in almost fore-ever----

SIOUX FALLS —  Why didn't you just go home?! Are you too good for your home?! Answer me!

The Sioux Falls Canaries are back home for six games in six nights from Aug. 4-9, with Friday's "Happy Gilmore Bobblehead Night" and Saturday's "Country Night" sleeveless jersey auction as the featured promotions.

On Saturday morning from 9-11 a.m., kids age 11-14 will get a chance to receive instruction from Canaries players, plus a Canaries hat, a free ticket to that night's game, and access to $10 tickets for their parents.

But perhaps the most powerful event of the week will come on Thursday in an AC/DC-themed fundraiser for Canaries player Ryan Richardson, who has been unable to play this season as he fights cancer, with all proceeds going to his medical expenses.
