   As we close down Sioux Empire Fair Week---we’ll get an update in both 9 and the 10 hours—quite the event---weather came into play---and so did people who wanted to salute agriculture.

 

   We start 9-10 with Jodi Schwan---Sioux Falls Business---among her early notes—and like any news updates---things do change—even in the show!!!

   Sudden business closures---Tip Top Tax closed their doors---and Jessie has quite the library she will be sharing:

  • Keep documentation –collect receipts, proofs of purchase and other documents including warranties and manuals
  • Check with bank or credit card company—you may be able to dispute the transaction
  • File with Bankruptcy Court if the business files for bankruptcy.
  • Contact the company---some will offer an email, website or phone number to contact for more information
  • For returns—if you have a warranty for an item you bought the store—look into whether the manufacturer or the store issued the warranty.
  • Use of gift cards—if you have a gift card for a store or restaurant that is going out of business—USE IT. Visit BBB.org to read more about what happens to gift cards when a company goes bankrupt.

 

     ---Kip Rounds will be in the studio for Game Fish and Parks---but Jared Wiklund will be on the road to Wisconsin for quite the work trip.

  Teri Schmdt will be updating importance of the Visitors Guide—and just what it does.

 

    Kip talks about 2nd Annual Gear Giveaway---an annual event that allows folks that would like to get started in the outdoors to pick out some gently used gear to help them get started. This gear is donated from other outdoor users and can include anything from hunting clothing to fishing equipment. The Gear Giveaway is scheduled tomorrow from 9 to noon at the Outdoor Campus in Sioux Falls.

**As we continue to march towards National Pheasant Fest & Quail Classic on March 1-3 , 2024 in Sioux Falls, I'm happy to report that the show is 60% sold-out for booth space already! Sioux Falls had sold three times more booth space than this time last year for Minneapolis - the excitement and anticipation is building for our return to The Pheasant Capital!

**Pheasants Forever has interest in partnering with Sioux Falls restaurants and businesses to present a pheasant burger this year as part of the 2024 Downtown Burger Battle! If your restaurant or business has interest in a pheasant burger promotion, let us know and the show will connect you with Jared Wiklund for more information.

**Pheasants Forever has some big announcements coming in the next few weeks about new additions to National Pheasant Fest & Quail Classic, as well as state habitat programs which will mean great things for landowners, wildlife, and rural communities in South Dakota - Jared Wiklund will be back next week to touch on these things and more as we continue to march towards National Pheasant & Quail Classic at the beginning of March 2024!

 

   9:32---Allen Unruh is back—and with a new member of the family---

 

     Kim Knox found Dr. Unruh’s KNEE PROGRAM on Facebook and saw that it was exactly what she needed. Her knees were aching, painful and weren’t feeling like they used to.

    Once the pain progressed and became share and shooting neuropathy, she knew it was to  act. Kin active and hard-working and as you might guess it was affecting her daily activities. From her very first treatment in the Knee Program and Miracle Wave—she felt a sincere difference.  The Miracle Wave has continued to physically loosen and break up any scar tissue or myofascial disfunction in her aching knees and muscles. She see a fulfilling future.

 

    9:45----Scott Wick and Julie Hammer—who have made sure we didn’t get lost in a most entertaining and sometimes challenging Sioux Empire Fair. They will give us an update ---and can share the events today---and what else is ahead.

 

   It had its rainy moments early---then threatening weather recently---but people still came to the Ag Appreciation Luncheon---the mid-way—the new animals being born—and Julie and Scott will share even more.

 

   Diana Patterson—Sanford Career Opportunities---joins us to close out the Friday 9-10 show---today the push for nurses has center stage. Diana will share it’s not just opportunities in Sioux Falls—but Sanford System spread out over quite the territory.
