As an integrative cardiologist, Dr. Hermel combines traditional and alternative approaches to treat high cholesterol, high blood pressure, coronary artery disease, cardiac arrhythmia, congestive heart failure and women’s heart disease. She strongly believes in partnering with her patients to formulate a custom approach to take back their health and prevent disease. She uses her unique background to empower patients to optimize nutrition, exercise and sleep and reduce stress. She is an active advocate for each patient and appreciates their unique journey.
She is passionate about clinical research and has presented her work at national cardiology meetings. Her research interests include the role of healthy lifestyle in reversing disease, advanced imaging and artificial intelligence methods for earlier detection of disease. Dr. Hermel also promotes heart health through reaching out to the community to raise awareness for the prevention of heart disease. She believes in engaging and informing the community to equip them with the information to appropriately prevent complications and improve outcomes.
In her spare time, Dr. Hermel enjoys an active lifestyle with her husband and three children as well as singing and playing the piano.
