Retired QLD dog handler David Raymond reveals how his "super dog" Vader caught 160+ fugitives, including killer Graham Potter after 12 years.

In this episode of I Catch Killers, Gary Jubelin sits down with retired Queensland police dog handler David Raymond, who spent 36 years in the job, 26 of them in the Dog Squad.

Together with his dog Vader they apprehended over 160 fleeing offenders and Vader became known as David's "super dog." Together they tracked offenders across remote Queensland, completed 7-8km tracks, and saved lives, including finding a young woman in near a crocodile-inhabited river.

David breaks down his most infamous catch: Graham Potter, a convicted murderer on the run for 12 years, found hiding behind plywood on a bunk bed in a squalid house in Ravenshoe. He also shares the stories behind his other dogs, plus what it really takes to train and trust a police dog over a 14-week course and a decade on the road.

Ex-cop Brent Sanders breaks down consent law, alcohol & bystander intervention with Gary Jubelin.

Most sexual assaults aren't committed by strangers. They're committed by someone in the victim-survivor's own social group.

Former cop turned safety educator Brent Sanders sits down with Gary Jubelin to go deeper on prevention, how consent actually works under the law when alcohol is involved, why bystander intervention matters, and what workplaces still get wrong about harassment.

Drawing on 30 years teaching students across Australia, Brent breaks down his Year 9 to Year 12 approach in plain language: choice and consequence, phones and sexting laws, the legal test for when a drunk person can't consent, and the story of the Year 12 boy who stopped an assault at a party without throwing a punch.

In this episode:
Why it's almost always someone in the social group, not a stranger
The legal test for consent and alcohol — explained like RSA at a pub
What happens when both people are drunk, and who the law looks at
How to step in as a bystander without making it a fight
Romeo and Juliet law, sexting, AI images and what Year 10s need to know
From schools to workplaces: harassment, positive duty and Christmas parties.

Former police officer Brent Sanders has spent over 30 years teaching consent, sexual assault law and predator awareness to students across Australia.

In this episode:
Inside the mindset of a predator and the fear of getting caught
What serial attackers look for when choosing a victim
Why freezing helps an offender — and what to do instead
Consent, the law, and the line you can't uncross

Natascha Consigli shares her raw experience inside Australian prison, privilege at 52, and how employment stops women reoffending.

After 16 months on bail waiting to be sentenced, Natascha Consigli was given 15 months with no parole. She tells Gary what her first night locked up was really like and how prison changed her.
From getting a black eye from her cellmate and refusing to press charges, to realising at 52 how much privilege she'd had compared to the young women inside with her, this is an honest conversation about accountability, rehabilitation and what actually stops reoffending.

Natascha now works with Success Works helping women with criminal records find meaningful employment because it costs $180K to jail a woman in Australia and a fraction of that to rebuild her life through a job.
