John Elias' rap sheet goes far beyond on-field indiscretions. As a 16-year-old he was serving time in Long Bay Prison with some of the hardest prisoners in the state. After prison, he carved out a career for himself as a high-profile professional rugby league player, but like a moth to a bright light, he was drawn to the adrenaline of the criminal world.
