Twenty six-year-old Jari Wise died when he was hit by a car driven by his girlfriend, Melissa Oates. Since that night in 2020, there’s been a criminal trial in which Melissa pleaded guilty to several driving offences, and the judge found she was not responsible for Jari’s death. His mum, Faith Tkalac, has been campaigning for an inquest. Finally, that day has arrived.
