Today I'm sharing something different, an invitation to join my energy army for my upcoming book. If you're struggling with chronic exhaustion and looking for science backed solutions to boost your energy, this episode is for you. Welcome to How I Work, a show about habits, rituals, and strategies for optimizing your day. I'm your host, doctor Amantha Imber. A few weeks ago, I started work on my fifth book, and unlike my previous books, I'm approaching this one with a different kind of mindset. Let me start by telling you what the book is about. So it's focused on science backed methods for overcoming chronic exhaustion and boosting our energy reserves. Think of it like Baraka for your entire life, but without that weird fluorescent Now we all know that feeling of dragging ourselves through the day, where even small tasks feel monumental. And if you listened to this podcast in twenty twenty four and heard me talk about the burnout that took me down last year, you will know that my energy was shocking. What I've discovered through my research is that there are practical, evidence based strategies that can dramatically transform our energy levels like really small, simple, easy to apply strategies, and I know they work because a science and B I've been using them on myself. But here's where you come in. Instead of writing this book in isolation like I normally do, I'm assembling what I'm calling an energy army, a community of brilliant people like yourself who currently have limited energy reserves and a searching for practical solutions. Okay, now I can hear you thinking about I barely have the energy to listen to this podcast, and that is precisely why I've designed this to be incredibly low effort on your part. Let me explain how it works. Each Monday, for eight weeks, starting on Monday, May twelve, I'll be emailing you about three to five evidence based strategies for boosting your energy. These aren't complicated regimes or time consuming practices. Most of these techniques take less than five minutes to implement, and all you need to do is pick one strategy that resonates with you, apply it during the week, and then let me know how it went. That's it simple, right. So what's fascinating about energy is that small interventions can have outsized effects, and in my research, I've found that tiny adjustments to our daily routines, environment, or even thought patterns can create significant shifts in how energized we feel. But what works brilliantly for one person might fall flat for another. And that's why your feedback is so valuable. It will help me understand which techniques have broad impact and which are more individualized. So what's in it for you if you join the Energy Army? First, you're going to get weekly science backed energy experiments delivered straight to your inbox for eight weeks. These are snappy, practical techniques that could transform your energy levels, often with minimal time investment. Second, you're going to get behind the scenes access to the messy, chaotic, intense process that is writing a book and bringing it to life. So if you've ever been curious about how books come together, this is your chance to see it unfold in real time. And Third, you'll have direct influence on which strategies make it into the final book through your honest feedback. Your experiences will help shape a resource that could help thousands of others reclaim their energy. So I've been using many of their strategies myself, and they've made a transformative difference to me, I feel like my energy has done a one eighty on where it was last year. So if you're going to join the energy Army, here's what to do. Head to the link in the show notes and complete the application form. It's going to take you about one minute to sign up. The eight week experiment kicks off on Monday May twelve, twenty twenty five, and it's completely free. All what I ask is your willingness to try these strategies and share your honest thoughts. Even if those thoughts are this was rubbish and I still feel like a sack of multi potatoes. I don't care. I just want honest feedback. Okay, Before I sign off, I want to emphasize this isn't about pushing yourself to do more. It's about finding sustainable ways to feel better in your existing life. It's about having the energy reserves to enjoy your work and your personal life without constantly feeling depleted. I truly believe that energy management is the new time management. We spent decades optimizing our calendars and to do lists, But what good is an efficient schedule if you're too exhausted to show up fully? So if you're ready to transform, your relationship with energy, join me and hundreds of others in this experiment. And did I mention it's free, Yes, it's free. So the link is at the top of the show notes and I can't wait for you to join me. If you like today's show, make sure you hit follow on your podcast app to be alerted when new episodes drop.
