Alice Zaslavsky is a Food Educator, Masterchef alum, and the author of three cookbooks such as "In Praise of Veg", which encourages people to embrace vegetables in a new and delicious way.
In this episode, Alice tells the story of how she went from teaching middle school kids on camp how to dice an onion to the Masterchef Australia kitchen. She explains why she is passionate about teaching kids about food from a young age and engaging them in conversations about sustainable food and cultural understanding. She also shares how and why she developed a free digital toolkit, “Phenomenom”, for teachers who want to incorporate food and culture into their classrooms.
