How many times have you heard people say... I would rather be dead then go up there and present. I find this statement perplexing as what you are saying is that you would rather be in a coffin box than on stage. 

However I also understand how nerves can get the best of us, sweaty palms, throat closes, you forget your opening line or the key points halfway through.
