Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement is what we'll continue learning about on Foundations today. It's the time of the year ?' the only day of the year ?' when the Jewish High Priest was permitted to enter the Holy of Holies in the Temple to make atonement for the sins of the people. It was also a time of self-denial and we'll learn about some of the requirements of the people during this sacred time.
