On Foundations, we've been learning about Shema, both a command and a prayer used by Jewish people all over the world, a command that reaches deep into their souls. But what is the soul? That's what we'll be looking at in this program.

In the last episode we looked at some Scriptural inconsistencies regarding the miracle at the Pool of Bethesda, and about the pagan temple to a Greek god of healing on that same site. In today's program, we'll see how they impacted the lame man waiting by the pools.

The story of the man miraculously healed at the Pool of Bethesda is a famous one, but there's been a great deal of misunderstanding about what actually happened there. We'll make a start by looking at some discrepancies in Scripture that many aren't aware of.

We're concluding our short series on the relationship between God and man, we've learned how the Bible describes God's relationship with Israel as a marriage, and we've learned about the ancient Jewish wedding where we could see clearly Jesus and His future Bride, and we're about to finish our time in the book of Ruth, which gives us a picture of Israel with a broken marriage relationship being restored, with the acceptance of a Gentile bride and a Jewish redeemer.
