It's pretty ordinary for a child to be afraid of the hairdresser. It's pretty extraordinary that your uncle would write a book to help you overcome that fear! When Tom Paterson's nephew Gus started showing a fear of the hairdresser, Tom put his hi-vis down and decided to write a book to help. That's how the hilarious 'The Barber At The Harbour' came about, with Tom's sister-in-law Amy Duncan filling the pages with gorgeous illustrations to try and help Gus with his fear of the shears.
