Guest: Matthew Parks | Parliamentary Coordinator at COSATU

COSATU Parliamentary Coordinator Matthew Parks joins Africa Melane to discuss government’s plans to coordinate South Africa’s state-owned enterprises after shelving legislation for a central holding company. They examine COSATU’s opposition to a centralised SOE management structure, concerns around accountability and political control, and what alternative approach could improve the performance of entities including Eskom, Transnet and SANRAL.
