A shocking double murder-suicide has brought to light the urgent need for comprehensive mental health support within the police force. A police captain in Protea tragically killed his girlfriend (who was also a police officer) and her brother before taking his own life. Three others were also  injured in the incident, which occurred during a birthday celebration.
