Zimbabwean Grade 12 pupils who were displaced or failed to register for their matric exams following alleged xenophobia and bullying are being offered assistance ahead of the 2026 finals. ZEPCC says it has engaged with around 120 affected learners and made arrangements with education authorities to help them register. Africa Melane speaks to spokesperson for the Minister of Basic Education, Lukhanyo Vangqa, about what the department can confirm, who qualifies to write and what support is available to affected learners.
