Today's recipe is a classic Italian dish, perfect for seafood lovers. Our Garlic Butter Shrimp Scampi is a delicious and easy-to-make meal that will impress your family and friends. With a combination of juicy shrimp, aromatic garlic, and flavorful herbs, this dish is sure to be a hit. Let's get started!

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound (450g) large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick or 113g) unsalted butter, melted
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1/4 cup (60ml) white wine
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 8 oz (225g) linguine or spaghetti, cooked according to package instructions

Instructions:

  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the garlic and red pepper flakes, and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  2. Add the shrimp to the skillet, and season with salt and pepper. Cook for 2-3 minutes per side until pink and cooked through.
  3. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add the white wine and lemon juice. Simmer for 2-3 minutes until the sauce is slightly reduced.
  5. Return the shrimp to the skillet, and toss to coat with the sauce. Cook for another minute or two until heated through.
  6. Serve the shrimp scampi over a bed of cooked linguine or spaghetti, and sprinkle with chopped parsley.
