The second annual DLO African Women in Leadership Summit tackles gender representation across African economies

Kenya’s President, William Ruto, has announced new tax‑relief measures aimed at easing the cost of living for low‑ and middle‑income earners. Under the new proposals, workers earning up to $231 a month will be exempt from income tax, while those earning up to $387 will see their tax rate reduced to 25%. President Ruto says the changes will result in around one and a half million Kenyans paying no income tax. Channel Africa’s Economics Reporter, Innocent Semosa, has more.
