African Rivers recently embarked on an exercise to check water dams in a number of African countries to ascertain how secure they are and what they are being used for.
Zambia, Namibia, Botswana, South Africa, Niger, Rwanda, and Ethiopia are just some of those countries. During a recent visit to rivers and water bodies in Zambia, the nonprofit international nongovernmental organisation (NGO) found that there was a rise in pollution of water bodies in the country.
