Kenya’s aviation sector is bracing for possible disruption next week after the Kenya Aviation Workers Union (KAWU) issued a seven‑day strike notice to the Kenya Civil Aviation Authority. The union says the planned industrial action stems from the authority’s alleged failure to finalise a long‑outstanding collective‑bargaining agreement, as well as concerns over workers being retained on temporary contracts in roles the union argues are permanent.
