The Council for Geoscience and global mining giant BHP have signed a new partnership aimed at strengthening mineral exploration through advanced geoscience research, digital data systems and cutting‑edge computing. The collaboration is expected to support more sustainable mining, reduce exploration risks and potentially open the sector to new and emerging players, while aligning with the country’s critical‑minerals and just‑energy‑transition goals.
