The Congress of South African Trade Unions (COSATU) has stressed that the address must outline clear strategies to tackle the country’s most pressing challenges, including a dangerously high unemployment rate of 42.4%, sluggish economic growth of just 1%, persistent poverty and inequality, and widespread crime and corruption.
