An iconic US food storage container company, Tupperware has announced that it will be closing operations in South Africa at the end of December 2024, after a dramatic decline in sales.
Since its inception the company relied on multilevel marketing (MLM) or direct selling to move its products, and over the years we've seen several companies in the healthcare and beauty sectors opting for a multilevel marketing business model, but is it sustainable in the long run?
