The Democratic Republic of Congo has one of the highest estimated numbers of food insecure people worldwide, with 25.6 million people estimated to be food insecure as per the latest Integrated Food Security Phase Classification (IPC) analysis.
This includes 6.2 million people facing acute food insecurity in three eastern provinces.
The World Food Programme says the humanitarian situation continues to deteriorate.
