Amazon eyes Africa's satellite internet market in challenge to Starlink

Multiple reports indicate that multinational technology and e-commerce giant Amazon is pursuing regulatory approval to build its first African satellite gateway in Kenya. Should Amazon be successful, it will challenge Starlink's growing presence on the continent.

This move comes as demand for high-speed internet grows across Africa, where millions remain underserved by traditional broadband networks.
