North Carolina's Great American Treasures: Haywood Hall

View descriptionShare

When Raleigh was still in its infancy, Haywood Hall was already making history. The stately home built in 1800 was home to four generations of its namesake family, which helped guide the state's capital through its first two centuries. Now, it is one of the most beloved Federalist homes in the state.

As part of our ongoing podcast series, "Burgwin-Wright Presents... North Carolina's Great American Treasures," we are opening the door on the history of Haywood Hall, with programming coordinator and historian Nicole Ackman.
