Published Mar 27, 2025, 2:39 PM

Working from home might be pretty cushy for some people, but in radio we don’t get that option. Until today when Brooke took working from home to the extreme in an all new Phone Tap!

The work from home crowd.

There's still a few left that good for you. Stay strong, stay strong.

We are we are all jealous of here. And if you're in the customer service business, you're probably on your couch in your pjs, sipping a hot coco, pretending to listen to the client while watching the Menendez Brothers documentary in the background. I mean, you're living the life basically.

So Brooke is.

Going to try to live vicariously through those people by pretending to be a work at home claims adjuster for an insurance company.

Let's see how that.

Works out in your phone tap right now.

Hello, Hi, my name is Jesse Peach. I'm calling from insurance. Is this Bonnie? Hey?

Yes, it is great Bonnie. I love that name.

Oh, thank you. Yeah, I just wanted to call about the recent claim you made on your insurance. Oh and I do real quick, real quick before we start anything. Formalities out of the way. This call is being recorded for Quality Assurance, okay, and I am working from home.

At the moment. Oh lucky you great. Okay, So let's just start from the beginning.

Is that your toilet? Excuse me, what did you just did?

You seriously just flush your toilet on me.

I didn't hear that.

You didn't hear you didn't you didn't.

Just flash the toilet.

I didn't hear it.

And that was zipper?

Oh was it?

Do you need a few minutes like to get yourself together or Oh?

I'm not distracted at all. I am right here with you.

I don't want to be right there with you if you're in the bathroom.

Do you know what I'm saying? Okay, not in the bathroom anymore. So we're all good. Oh right, okay, But I didn't hear you wash your hand. Wow, that seems a little judge. You're not gonna hear any thing I do on this call.

It was totally It was totally judgy.

I meant it to me judgy. Okay. So you were reversing out of your driveway weird?

Okay?

Do I hear a duck? Now? You own a duck? Oh?

I don't own a duck. I'm fostering him.

Okay, but I haven't fed him.

His grilled cheese yet this morning.

But how is mama supposed to get anything done if you could be interrupting me? Okay, I need I need you to listen to me.

Okay, I am busy.

You aren't calling me during the work day. I do not have the luxury of working at home and playing with the duck.

Listen, you and I are locked in. I was not playing with Barnaby. He was just noodling me.

Do you know how ducks can be?

No?

I don't, but I do know that we need to get on with my clane right right.

And I have that right here in front of me. Can you just give me one second. I'm just feeling so parched.

And oh my god, a little sip of PEPSI what the hell is that?

Now?

Where were we?

What was that?

You know that was right in my ear?

Oh?

I'm so sorry.

I should have moved the straw away.

As far as the damage to your vehicle, that's what we're concerned about right now.

You have got to be kidding.

Me, you know, I was just gonna say the same thing.

Just hold for one second.

My uber ey driver is outside and he can't get through the electric fence. The electric fence.

That's not my uber eat.

What is going on? Okay, it looks like they found me. So here's what's gonna happen. I need to finish up your call then I have to go underground. So I need you to.

You know what I need from you.

I need you to please tell my story and don't let people forget me.

Okay, I'm going to forget you as soon as this is over.

I knew using my real name was a mistake, Jesse Peach. Of course they'd find me.

Oh my god, what did that? That wasn't the FBI at the door?

Did you hear that? I don't know what I'm hearing at this point. Oh, you're hearing a round of applause for being on a prank phone call. A prank phone call? Yeah, this is actually break from Brick and Jeffrey in the morning. This past few minutes of insanity was a prank.

Yeah, yeah, it's a phone tap. It's a thing we do on the show. What that was the surprise party to end it all?

Way?

Is that fun?

What is.

That's really going on?

As your boyfriend set you up, he said, you've been frustrated with the insurance. Oh sorry, that actually was my zipper, but yeah, but you've been frustrated with the insurance companies and thought he'd make you laugh.

Do I sound like I'm laughing?

Not yet, but I could make that happen.

And he thought this was funny.

Well, he hasn't heard it yet, so maybe not. He might not think it's funny either.

Mm hm.

Oh God, I love working from home. Oh makes she hung up.
