A new Emerson College Polling survey shows Republican Steve Hilton leads the overall field with 17%, followed by Republican Chad Bianco and Democrat Tom Steyer, tied at 14% each. Former Health and Human Services Secretary Xavier Becerra jumped from 3% to tie at 10% with former Rep. Katie Porter. After the abrupt exit of Rep. Eric Swalwell, Becerra jumped seven points overall and gained 15 points among Democratic voters, now capturing 19% of the Democratic vote, nearly matching Steyer’s 20%.
