A Fresno County judge has moved forward with the pre‑trial hearing for the teenage girl accused of being the getaway driver in the murder of 18‑year‑old Caleb Quick. The girl was 16 at the time of the April 2025 shooting outside a Clovis McDonald’s. Prosecutors say surveillance video, cellphone data, and witness testimony show she helped plan the killing and drove the shooter away. Her attorneys argue she didn’t know a gun was involved. The judge ruled there’s enough evidence to consider trying her as an adult, but a final decision is still pending.
