Headlines: Champion & Comfort boys survive close round 1 game / Geneva boys soccer advances / Champion girls soccer grabs district win

Two playoff boys basketball took place yesterday… and one was broadcasted here on Boerne Radio. The Chargers vs Leander in round 1- a rather close game throughout, with plenty of lead changes. It came down to the end. The Chargers won 44-43… very close. Champion hit 6 free throws in the end to secure it before the time ran out. Southwest Legacy is the next opponent of the Chargers in the area round of these playoffs. 

Comfort also defeated Clearwater in a very tight match- 67-65 the final there, as Comfort will move onto round 2 as well.

Geneva boys soccer defeated Brazos Christian 2-0 to claim the area title, and move on to the regional title game on Thursday.

And the Champion girls soccer team had a big night beating Alamo Heights 1-0 in another district game. For UIL winter soccer, we are nearing the end of the regular season with about 2 weeks to go.
