It’s Friday, April 3rd. 

As Passover Celebrations ended at nightfall last night where Jewish families remember the Exodus from Egypt more than 3000 years ago when the first born of everyone in Egypt was killed by the Angel of Death but passed over the Israelites if they spread the blood of a lamb on their doorposts…and so today is also Good Friday where God’s son - the Lamb of God Jesus Christ shed his blood on the cross so that we could be spared from death and have everlasting life.  If you’re hearing that connection for the first time, I recommend checking out the full list of all the Easter Services in Boerne and the Hill Country at boerneradio.com. 

And as it’s Good Friday, City Offices, the library, and Boerne ISD Schools will be closed today. Easter Sunday is one of two days when HEB is officially closed all day.  

Battle of the Badges is on at the Boerne Police Department, with proceeds supporting Love Kendall County Kids. Every $100 gets you a vote, and whichever Officer accumulates the most votes will get pied with a special treat from our friends over at Tootie Pie. Voting is open now and ends next Friday. -Saturday will be the pie thrown down in Main Plaza at 4:30. 

Tomorrow morning is “Coffee with a Cop”at the Black Rifle.   The Boerne Police Department will be representing from 9 to 11 and are available to answer questions, and just hang to get to know you.  

Hill Country Crisis Council, in partnership with the Kendall County Sheriff's Office, is hosting the Stronger Together: Child Protection Summit on May 13 & 14 at The Kendall in Boerne.This important two day conference will bring together professionals from across the Hill Country to help collaborate on how to deal with crimes against children.
