Headlines: Champion boys claim spot in basketball playoffs / Greyhounds and Unicorns settle for tie / Spurs dominate in LA

The Boerne Champion boys basketball team have punched their ticket to the playoffs with a district win over Tivy, 57-50 the final score. They have also won 7 straight games, and the playoffs begin in 2 weeks… can the Chargers finish what they started? We shall find out. 

The girls’ soccer team over at Boerne High was playing New Braunfels in district play. A competitive one at Boerne ISD Stadium with the Greyhounds making a comeback after being down 2-0 to the Unicorns. In the end, both teams took a 2-2 draw. It’s not a win, nor a loss for either team.

The San Antonio Spurs also had a big night- first game of the Rodeo Road trip… it all began in Los Angeles. The Lakers had a good majority of their team out with cited injuries. The Spurs picked up the 136-108 victory, with Wemby having collected 40 points himself. Not a career high, but close. The Spurs are at Golden State tonight for a 9:30 tip local time.
