Alright… the results from the UIL realignment are in. We’ll start with the football districts because they change quite a bit. 5A Division 1, Region 4 District 13 includes: Boerne Champion, Austin Anderson, Austin McCallum, Cedar Creek, Smithson Valley, Kyle Lehman, Lockhart, Manor, and Seguin. Division 2, District 13 has Boerne High School, Legacy Ranch, Liberty Hill, New Braunfels, New Braunfels Long Creek, Alamo Heights, and San Antonio Vets Memorial.
The other district that is for basketball and volleyball is Region 4, District 26, Boerne and Champion will face San Antonio John Jay, Alamo Heights, Great Hearts Monte Vista, Harlandale, McCollum, and South San Antonio.
The ultimate conclusion is in football, both schools will be facing district opponents to the north, and basketball doesn’t change a whole lot, although some simulations predicted John Jay in the mix. But, it’ll be an interesting group of schools for the next couple of years, especially in football.
Comfort stays 3A- they realign with Blanco, Karnes City, Nixon Smiley, Poth, and YMLA for football in 3A Region 4, district 15. For the other sports, they are in district 25 of region 4 with Blanco, Florence, Ingram Moore, and Llano.
