Let’s go back to Friday and start with volleyball- the cross-town rivalry of Boerne High and Champion took place on the Greyhounds’ home court. And up until this game, both schools have had little to no struggle in district. The Greyhounds would take this one 3 sets to 1, with the third set won by the Chargers. Boerne is 24-4 with a perfect 5-0 district record, and Champion is 24-7 with a 4-1 district record.

Wild weekend in MLB as the playoff field is now set. The race for Houston and Texas came down to game number 162… I’m sure both clubs’ alerts were going off in the dugout. Simultaneously about halfway through the games, Houston had a lead over Sacramento 8-0. Meanwhile, the Rangers trailed the Twins 6-2. The finals ended up being the Astros over the A’s 9-0, and the Twins over the Rangers 6-4. Texas is eliminated, while Houston gets to face off against the White Sox in the 2026 Wild Card Series Tuesday at 4pm.

In the NFL, the Texans lost to the Colts 19-17. Houston is still winless going into week 4. The Cowboys lost to the Ravens in their game Sunday which was in Brazil. Ravens took it down the field after the Cowboys tied it, and Baltimore kicked the game-winning field goal. Final was 34-31, Dallas is now 1-2.
