Forecasters say parts of Central Texas, including Boerne and the western Hill Country, could see several inches of rain, and localized rainfall rates could top two inches an hour.

The Boerne High School Health Occupations Students of America just hosted a laundry soap drive for Hill Country Family Services. The generosity of students led to 364 pounds of soap being donated over the weekend. Our friends at Sonora Bank also did their part by matching the donation with a check.
The Boerne Star reported yesterday that the body of 26-year-old Boerne native Senior Airman Tamera Moniq Bolden-Cleckley has been officially identified by a service medical examiner. Bolden-Cleckley was found dead September 23rd in a burned vehicle near Eglin Air Force Base in Florida. She joined the Air Force in 2021 and served as a diagnostic imaging specialist with the 96th Surgical Operations Squadron. The Air Force Office of Special Investigations is handling the case.
In Fair Oaks Ranch, Spectrum anticipates completing an asphalt patch at the intersection of Dietz Elkhorn Road and Chartwell Lane between 8 a.m. and 2:30 today. Traffic near the intersection will be reduced to one lane. Flaggers and off-duty law enforcement officers will be onsite to direct traffic.
Here’s an update on Boerne Heritage Volkspark: The Roadway and parking lot base work is now complete, and restroom lighting, flooring, basketball pavilion concrete caps, and the splash pad equipment and retaining wall have been installed. Trail landscape restoration and concrete curbs are underway, with sports field topsoil and irrigation trenching set to begin.
