Final week of high school football - we’ve got you covered here on Boerne Radio. Tonight, LIVE at 6:30, we’ll air Champion as the head East of Austin to play Manor. Tyler Burgamy will have the call at 7. The party starts at 5 however with our final Fired Up Friday of the regular season. Boerne vs Legacy Ranch will air in its entirety on Texas Sports Productions… but we will jump in if the Champion game finishes early. 

And no matter the results of tonight’s games, Boerne High will be the 1st place team in district 13 of Division I, and Champion is locked in at 2nd place in district 13 of Division II. They will both host the first round games at Boerne ISD Stadium next week. Before those games, Wednesday’s Boerne Radio Coaches Show at 28 Songs Brewhouse and Kitchen will feature Coach Sawyer and Coach Ellis, AT THE EXACT SAME TIME. It’s one you won’t want to miss, this upcoming Wednesday at 6 here on Boerne Radio. Live from 28 Songs Brewhouse and Kitchen. 

Boerne will send their volleyball team to Laredo to play Pioneer, and Champion will play Sharyland in Alice tonight for the start of regionals. Thrive and stay alive is the name of the game in the playoffs as both continue their journeys this postseason. Both matches begin at 6:30.

Baseball fans- a date to keep in mind is Dec. 1. That is when the MLBPA’s Collective Bargaining Agreement, or CBA officially expires. And to save you some time, there is expected to be a lockout over the subject of salary caps and other proposals among players and owners. The start of the 2027 season is uncertain at the moment. However, the Minor League CBA expires next year, so the Missions’ season will not be affected. The Missions are also known as the “Flying Chanclas”, their alter ego. Now, say hello to the other alter ego they’re releasing in 2027 - the San Antonio Breakfast Tacos. You won’t see Texas or Houston doing this- why? Because South Texas and the Hill Country have the best tacos. April 16-18 is when they will wear the special jerseys and caps… they’ll play the Frisco Roughriders.  

The Spurs, with a now 6-game win streak, play the Kings in Sacramento at 9pm Boerne time. It’s also the first game of NBA Cup Group Play.
