…that was the sports report from December 13, 2024. And exactly 364 days later, history allows for a rematch. That night, Randle would defeat Boerne on a rainy night in Waco, 42-7. We are just hours away from Randle and Boerne, the sequel. And not much has changed.

Randle is still undefeated and their secret weapon, running back Landen Williams-Callis, is only a junior. He has one more year after this. The young man, for context, has 61 college offers according to 24/7 Sports. Yes, 61. He’s good, and Boerne’s key to victory will be containing him.

The Greyhounds have changed their coach in Brett Sawyer and QB in Grant Sweeney who has well over 3500 passing yards this year. But they have returning guys from last year’s run- Jake Perez, Ben Bays, Hadden Silva, Blake Burkholder, Eli Nikolas… just to name a few. This time, in a dry and loud Alamodome.
