Headlines: Spurs lose insane game 4, Knicks regain 2-game series lead / Knicks could close out series Saturday in San Antonio

I don’t even know where to begin… If you saw Game 4 last night, the Spurs had a 29-point lead, and it tumbled down from the beginning of the 3rd quarter on. And arguably the most frustrating part was the Spurs had the most 3-pointers made in a single half in NBA History with 14 in the first half, and still lost. Late in the 4th, the aftershock from the earthquake… Two missed free throws by Wemby, a choice layup by De’Aaron Fox that got rejected, and then a tip-in by OG Anunoby of the Knicks that put them up by 1. In the end, New York came from behind resulting in the biggest comeback in Finals history, with a final score of 107-106. New York now leads the series 3 games to 1 with a chance to end it Saturday night. Social media is already buzzing with who is to blame, and while mistakes were made all around, the blame game never solves any of those problems. 

Alright well, the Knicks have the series by a grasp now unfortunately. They have 3 games to win 1 and clinch it, in which only once in history has a team come back from a 3-1 deficit to win the Finals. It’s not impossible, and the series is not yet over, but it will take a lot out of the Spurs. Even if this year doesn’t work out, you have to remember no one expected the Spurs to be here. And I won’t use the excuse that they are a young team because they defied odds and expectations beyond all others. Now, come next year, there’s no excuses. San Antonio will have winning seasons and title wins with good health and determined minds. And now they know the agony and triumph of the NBA Playoffs, South Texas and Spurs fans around the world will expect nothing but greatness once again. Keep your heads up Spurs fans.
