It’s Wednesday May 27th
And it’s Boerne Radio Week at The Dienger Trading Company! That means pop into the Dienger between 7:30 and 8:45am any day this week thru Friday - ask for the Boerne Radio special which is 2 eggs, sausage, biscuit, a pancake and coffee… and it’s free!
Limit one free breakfast per paying ticket per table.
And this Friday morning I will be at the Dienger at 7:30 with my recording gear so if you’ve always wondered how do I get say I love Boerne on the radio…this is the way.
The Dienger is the same place it’s been since 1884…at the corner of Main and West Blanco. The Dienger Trading Company.

It was a dark and stormy night in Boerne…some power outages, San Antonio had a tornado warning, the Spurs lost, Jerry Jones is still the devil, and if you were an Incumbent…here we go. Incumbent 4 Term Senator John Cornyn falls to Ken Paxton who earned 64% of the vote in the Texas race. Interestingly in Kendall County those numbers were the same with Paxton getting 64% of Kendall County Voters…all 8500 of you. Paxton will face Talarico in November.
In Kendall County Chip Roy got 65% of the vote against Mayes Middleton for Republican nominee for Texas Attorney General but the rest of Texas didn’t agree. Mayes Middleton won with 55% of the vote.
Here in Boerne, Incumbent Kendall County Judge Shane Stolaraczyk had about a 100-vote lead after early voting to start the day, but Ricky Gleason pulls it out at the end with 51.9%, a difference of 326 votes…
And with 57.7%, Kendall County voters chose the incumbent in the race for County Commissioner in Precinct 2 - Andra Wisian started election day with a 352-vote lead after early voting and won by 418 votes against J.C. Taylor.
Because there was no Democratic challengers for County Commissioner or for Judge in the November general election, they will assume office January 1st, 2027.
And if you hunt a big game, new Texas laws might require you to report mountain lion kills as they aim to learn more about their population here in Texas. Texas Parks and Wildlife commissioners are scheduled to vote tomorrow on new rules that would require anyone who kills a mountain lion to report it to the state. The report would include only the county that the lion was killed and a tooth and tissue sample within 60 days of the kill. Advocates for the new rules say that knowing more about where the cats are being killed will increase understanding about where they live and how the species is doing in Texas.
