We’ve learned some new info on the shootout in the parking lot of the Executive Inn Motel on 87 in Comfort early Sunday morning.  The main suspect accused of shooting at Kendall County Deputy Russel has been identified as Sean Seale of Comfort, Texas. The suspect was transported by medical helicopter to Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, where he remains in critical condition. Deputy Russell was not injured during the incident, but currently the suspect is charged with two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and one count of attempted capital murder of a peace officer. The incident remains under investigation.

Heads up, The Boerne Electric Department will be upgrading its Utility Poles on Rosewood Avenue starting today. To safely perform this work, it will close a portion of the road today and tomorrow from 8 to noon. 

This Saturday Boerne Radio is going old school…we will be out at the Historic Welfare Schoolhouse Open House: to celebrate the recent improvements thanks to Boerne Paint Co. who not only donated the paint for the weather-worn 148 year old school house, they painted the whole thing AFTER replacing the rotted wood around the windows, and beams as a gift to the community..   The event is from 1 to 3 - bring the kids for the history lesson, plus enjoy some refreshments and make some Valentine’s Day Cards.  The Welfare Schoolhouse is along Waring Welfare Rd, just north Little Joshua Creed Rd - just bare right after Po Po Family Restaurant for a few miles and look for it on the right.
