Some Boerne Radio musical birthdays include Andy Summers - guitarist for the Police turns 83, and born on this date in 1948 LaDonna Gaines better known as Donna Summer, and another late great: Henry John Deutschendorf born in 1943 - you knew him as Country Boy John Denver.  And one more right here in Boerne - happy birthday to Cecilia Bronaugh.

The Boerne Police and Fire Department want to remind you to celebrate responsibly tonight. Do not drink and drive, have a designated driver or a rideshare ready.  

Never light fireworks under the influence of alcohol.  Another reminder that fireworks are off limits in Boerne on top of the illegal fireworks on the list, drench your spent fireworks in water before going to bed, and do you know what the number 1 cause of vehicle fires at this time last year?  It was people storing unused or spent fireworks in their car!  

Besides their big party tonight, Tapatio Springs is hosting a Polar Plunge on Friday.  Show up to the Double L Pool at the resort between 10 and 1pm, and come dressed in you bold and creative outfit as there are prizes for the best costumes.

If one of your resolutions this year is to volunteer more, here’s an idea.  Triple H Equitherapy is hosting a volunteer training on January 3rd.
