It’s Wednesday, December 24th in the year of our Lord 2025 - better known as Christmas Eve…If you’re looking for a place of worship on this holiest night of the year, we’ve created a list of all the churches in Boerne with Christmas Eve service times at Boerneradio.com.

And as you can probably guess, City Hall and other City offices will be closed today and tomorrow, but will also be taking off the 26th to give staff a long holiday. This of course, includes the Boerne Parks and Rec department and the Patrick Heath Public Library. Trash pickup will still occur today, but if Thursday or Friday is your normal day, you can place your bin by the curb the next day.  And make your HEB run now for those mini marshmallows you forgot, because they will close at 8.

  The Alamo Area Metropolitan Planning Organization has awarded the city of Boerne with $2.6 million in order to expand sidewalks across town. After applying to the extremely competitive opportunity with a well-developed proposal, City Staff were able to secure 80% of the funding required for the city-wide project. The funding will improve safety and connectivity on several streets, including Hosack, Theissen, Herff, and City Park Road, as well as extend Old No. 9 trail. City leaders say all sidewalk projects listed are at or near 100 percent design completion and will be fully designed within the new year, which will allow for construction to begin much sooner.

Happy retirement to K9 Tajga, who has officially completed her service with the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office. This brave officer was deployed 118 times and participated in 70 arrests and almost $400,000 seized in U.S. Currency. On top of that, she located 47.5 kilograms of illegal narcotics, or for us Yankees, over 100 pounds of drugs.
