It’s Thursday June 4th. 

And on this day in American history The Battle of Midway begins in 1942.  It would be Japan’s first major defeat and a turning point of the war.  All four of Japan’s large aircraft carriers and a heavy cruiser were sunk, while the US lost only the USS Yorktown and a destroyer.

Disappointing Spurs loss last night in Game 1 of the NBA Finals, but do you know who really won?  Boerne did!  It started with a Marco Crawford Law commercial with a scene shot at Boerne Sips Nutrition, Then the Boerne Police and Fire Department Color Guard took the floor for the National Anthem, and they were introduced by Boerne Radio’s own Roland Ruiz, whose voice has now been heard around the world. 

The Atlanta based Chicken Salad Chick had a major turnout yesterday-lines of lawn chairs wrapped around the building in anticipation of some free food for a whole year. 55 people were already lined up by the time they opened, when typically, they only have about 30. Director of Marketing and Catering for Chicken Salad Chick Janice Morfin said the promotion continues today.
