It’s Monday June 24th. 

Happy Birthday to Mick Fleetwood - at 6 feet 6 inches, he turns 77 today...He was a founding member of Fleetwood Mac with John McVee along with Peter Green, and Jeremy Spencer.  Mick has a home in Hawaii, and lost his restaurant and bar there called Fleetwood in the 2023 Hawaii Wildfires.

Well welcome home Champion Charger and Boerne’s own Elizabeth Leachman who competed in the Olympic Trials on Friday night in Eugene Oregon.   Did you notice how much love and respect she received from the announcers, in fact that little arrow popped up over her head showing how she was keeping up with the pack at just 16 years old - the youngest qualifier in the whole track and field trials.   What a huge experience, and if you follow Boerne Radio on Facebook our post went viral with over 4.5 thousand likes, 112 shares and 250 comments all voicing their pride and hope for tomorrow.  Way to go Elizabeth Leachman… 

The soon to come Taylor’s ACE Hardware store is hosting a job fair today from 3 to 7 so swing by if you can swing a hammer or at least know how to sell one…the store is next to the Specs on South Main.

The Boerne Chamber of Commerce is holding just a couple ribbon cuttings this week. Tomorrow at 11:30 is Positivity with Purpose Coaching at the Chamber, then on Thursday at 10 am is the brand new Tre Pizzeria, and also on Friday is their new Boerne Chamber member orientation sponsored by (what does it say here)...Boerne Radio.

Heads up…Spectrum is going to be replacing some fiber lines in the coming weeks, which will result in some closures and detours around the city. Starting today they will begin working on Old San Antonio Road from E. Bandera to Industrial Drive. Once they’ve completed that portion on Wednesday, they will move to E. Bandera, and then eventually to Main Street. Keep an eye out for flaggers and signs to guide you through.
