The Boerne City Council meeting took place last night, and here are some of the highlights. The Parks and Rec department got approval to apply for a grant to work on their projects in 2025. The Esperanza site for water will eventually need to have carbon filters installed, but for the moment City Council has approved a Tank Mizer Project to help with mixing ground water. With Buc-ee’s moving forward with plans to build, the city needs to move water and power lines that go through their purchased property, and the council approved a contract to do so. They also discussed the timeline of approving a budget, and discussed term limits. 

The folks at the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office know how to get it done! After a giant tree fell into local county roadway 474 and TXDot was not able to get to it, Sgt Dudley, Deputy Russel and Deputy Powell revved up their chainsaws and got to work. They were able to clear the blockage, ensuring the safety of the locals that live and drive along the road. 

Some San Antonio News - The Hooters on E. Commerce in downtown SA has permanently closed along with several other Hooters around Texas including Bryan, Lubbock, San Angelo and McAllen.  A spokesperson for Hooters spoke to Boerne Radio with the following statement… “our plans for Boerne haven’t changed and we look forward to our new store coming soon” - official disclaimer if you’re new to Boerne - welcome to Boerne and it’s all a hoax.
