The King is Dead…long live the King…it was on this date 45 years ago today that we heard the news that Elvis Presley had died. Also passing away on this date in 2018 was the Queen of Soul:  Aretha Franklin.  Interestingly the Queen of Pop was born on this date in 1958 - and like Elvis and Aretha, she is known by one name as well…Happy Birthday Madonna.

We’ve been recognizing our School Resource Officers around Boerne…well as we say we also love our neighbors in Comfort:  Officer Rome Borrego is the man protecting our kids at Comfort Middle School.  Over at Comfort Elementary is Deputy Raul Gonzales who graduated from Boerne High School in 2001 and has been a peace officer for 4 years.  Thank you, men, for keeping the peace in Comfort.

Over at the Boerne Police Department we have a new officer just sworn in - and we welcome Officer Collazo.
