⚖️ ICYMI: Nicolee Ambrose Joins Bob Miller to Discuss Maryland’s Redistricting Fight on the Morning News Express

This morning, Bob Miller welcomed Nicolee Ambrose, Maryland’s Republican National Committeewoman, to the Morning News Express to discuss the ongoing legal fight over redistricting in Maryland.

Ambrose outlined the arguments behind a lawsuit challenging the process, saying the issue goes beyond political maps and centers on constitutional protections and the rights of Maryland voters.

According to Ambrose, the lawsuit argues that Maryland’s Declaration of Rights protects all Marylanders, regardless of which political party holds the majority, and points to a 2022 ruling from a former state Supreme Court justice that found extreme partisan gerrymandering violated those protections.

Ambrose also argues that the proposed ballot question fails to tell voters that those protections are at stake and that required procedures were not properly followed. She says the lawsuit is ultimately about ensuring Maryland voters receive the constitutional process and protections to which they are entitled.
